Why blog?

I often sit and daydream and if it's an interesting one, in my head I say "I must blog that", but a few moments pass and my wandering mind is off in another direction and the post doesn't get written.
How ever when I do post I enjoy knowing that somewhere there are a few people who are Actually interested in what I have to say.
I have found a world of wonderful people, who like me love to create things and want to share the joy and sometimes end up sharing the ups and downs of life too.
If another person falls in love with and buys one of my things that is a lovely bonus and a complement. And all this at the click of a key ! It is my window to the world, I love it :-D
I would be really interested to know what your blog means to you and why.

Ups and downs

Monday morning I woke feeling quite energetic and after the morning ruetine stuff was done I started stripping the wallpaper in my bedroom (something I have had on my to do list for a while ) I did a whole wall then tidied up so that the room was back to normal by teatime. I have plans for another wall the next time I am feeling energetic :-)
My hubby got out of the wrong side of the bed yesterday and moaned at anything and everything.
By the time my son had left for school he had given me a headache.
I don't usually mention these things but it's my time of the month and I felt like ****, it also aggravates my bad back quite a lot. Probably not helped by my energetic wallpaper stripping the day before either :-} I usually get a surge of energy prior to my monthly.
So I was glad hubby went out with a friend, I get the Period he get's the PMT LOL
My crafting Mojo is nowhere to be seen it's probably hiding from hubby :-D
So I have no new makes to show you.
We had a fab storm last evening with lightening, thunder and hailstones. I have always enjoyed watching the power of nature. Hubby came home in a better frame of mind and we watched it together.
Back soon, hopefully with my Mojo :-)

Thursday already !

Hi all :-) I cant believe it is Thursday, Well Friday by now.
I have been busy crafting in between chores, and enjoying some of the sun we have been blessed with.
When the sun is shining it makes me glad I am not a 9 to 5 worker.
Sorry if you are I don't mean to rub it in.
My laundry basket is empty after the fab drying weather and has been converted into a pile of Ironing for me to ignore.
Here some pictures of the pieces I have made this week.

A little Westie 3 by 2 inches, made over a wire armature.

a tiny Hedgehog Made in an evening just to keep my hands busy :-)

A strange puppet like doll. made with polymer clay and felted clothes and hair.
I had been toying with the idea for a while and I may make some more.
She is 3 inches tall.
I made the body parts with holes and Thread jointed them together.

It's getting late so I will say goodnight :-)

Since you have been asking :-)

Thanks for all the kind comments about my new Bear.
I have had a few people ask about Russel the Crow.
I have not seen him at all since he flew away.
I have been keeping an eye out for him all of the time.
It would be fab to see him and know he is ok and if I ever do I will be sure to post about it to let you all know too.

Gains and losses

I have another award from a lovely blogger who I have recently come into contact with.
I actually got it last week but after Russel flew away I was a bit lost. He had kept me so busy that when he was not here Saturday I didn't know what to do with my self. I wandered in and out of the garden peeking over the fence to see if the silly bugger had shown up and had no mojo for anything else. Things come and go in our lives and that is one thing we can be sure of. I hope he is OK.
Then Sunday I had my back mishap so all in all I have not had time to deal with the award.
I do really appreciate it and will sort it tomorrow :-)

A few days to catch up on

Hi all,
Russel enjoyed playing in the garden for a few days and was looking much better then on Friday evening he flew away. I kept an eye out for him whenever I walked my Dog but have not seen him. I was supposed to go and do the craft market on Sunday but while I was getting ready I decided to go and have a look to see if Russell was about. As I stood on a small stool to peek over the fence it wobbled a bit. I didn't think much of it and then as got down my back went, it was really bad and I had to abandon my plans for the day. I took as many painkillers as I could and went back to bed and sniveled my self to sleep. When I woke up it was much better, Sciatica can go as quickly as it comes. I spent today taking down Curtains and washing them and doing housework, boring stuff. Still no sign of Russel, I do hope he is ok.
Bye for now

Handmade Kit bags for teens

I had a few mins to photograph these new bags after taking hubby to his Cardiac clinic appointment.
They are made from new printed T Shirts and each has the design on the back in white only and on the front in colour. The size of the bag depends on the size of the Tshirt ie small makes a small kit bag etc. I am going to take them to the Greenwich Craft market on Sunday and see how they go. if you would like one give me a shout and I will sort it out. I will be selling them for £10.00 + £2.00 postage. Also I made a Messenger style bag with Designer print 100% cotton and a white lining. It was quite a task after making Basic totes and Kit bags.

Bird watch and Blog candy

Hi all,
I have been busy looking after Russel the Crow and keeping my home and family clean and fed etc.
Not to mention making sure my Dog does not feel left out, I am feeding Russel every hour from 7 pm to 7 am and I don't want my pooch to feel neglected.
We discovered Russel had an injury to his right wing (shoulder ) no bones broken but it is enough to make me keep him until he is healed and able to fly properly. In the meantime we are getting on very well he chats to me in Crow and would be happy if I spent all day keeping him company. He does make a mess which is a downside. He says Hi anyway :-)

I have have managed to find some time to make things, I have made six drawstring bags with Gothic Designs printed on them. My son has already got the one with the Grim reaper on it, I decided to make them as the PE kit bags are never big enough for my sons full Rugby kit. I have some New printed T Shirts left from my old website and I decided to use them as the teenage boys will like them (well my son does ) I have no photos of those yet.
also I have started a Needle felt of a Cat, which is about halfway done.

I said I would do my Give away, yesterday and I forgot :o} sorry.
So here it is, better late than never.
This time I am going to send one of my Limited Edition Ickle Dolls to the lucky winner of the Draw.

Here she is

Leave me a comment here to let me know you are entering and post about the give away on your blog to enter.
I will do the draw at the end of June.
I am happy to post it anywhere in the world so don't worry if you are overseas :-)
Bye for now.

Blog award

I have been sent another award, yay someone loves me :-D
My Bear making friend Shelley, thanks Shelley.

The rules are the usual things, choose 15 "newly discovered" blogs to nominate link back etc,
It says newly discovered blogs which is bad for me as I have only discovered a small number recently which I have decided to follow because I have had less time to browse.
I will just pass it on to those few I have :-)

In no particular order these are the most recent blogs I have taken a shine to :-D

Whimsybymari

Wendiesminiworld

Mylittlehalo

Daziedelights

Tollipop

Tomorrow I will do my Giveaway, pop in for a chance to win one of my Needle felted items.
Bye for now.

Finished Bunny

I have finally finished my Bunny.
He is Needle Felted in fine Grey mix Alpaca wool top.
Made for sitting only he is just under 4 inches long laying down (from heel to top of head)
Due to being busy with other things in between he took me a week to make and I am glad he is finished.

Every time I start Bear I say to my self I will finish it quickly but I always end up tweaking until I am satisfied it is no longer tweakable :-D
This is the first time I have used Alpaca instead of Merino wool and it is much softer and felts down a lot smaller, but I love the subtle shades of Gray in this mix .

I didn't do the Greenwich Craft market this Friday as I was feeling unwell and I had Russel the Crow to feed etc.
At least it has given me time to make lots of things to sell.
I really must find time for a give away and I have an award I have to post about and pass on.
Maybe I will find time tomorrow.
Bye for now :-)
